A Small Upgrade To My PC Part 2

Posted on October 8, 2023May 29, 2025 by ElectroStingz

Things didn’t work out with the Razer Chroma ARGB controller. It kept cutting out and unless the software was running the light effects would run on a default setting. So I decided to upgrade the motherboard, CPU and water block.

I have also taken out all the water cooling components to give them a clean and based on the condition of the pipes they will be replaced along with all the ring LEDs as they stopped working, on looking it appears that one of them shorted out causing the LED controller I used to fry.

After many hours the build was put back together and I powered just the LEDs and pump to refill the system with water.

Another expense with this upgrade is the operating system as it can run Windows 11 unlike my previous board.
