Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz Overclocked

Posted on December 7, 2017July 8, 2022 by ElectroStingz

Just seeing how far I can overclock the memory beyond the rated 3200MHz (200MHz) and so far it is working at 3600MHz (225MHz).

  • To get this working I enabled the XMP profile, 3200MHz.
  • Then set the memory frequency to 3600MHz.
  • Restarted and it happened to work with the BIOS automatically scaling up the memory timings to 18-21-21-41 @3600MHz but this wasn’t quite stable in a Prime95 Blend test due to my low VccSA and VccIO settings of 1.110v. To overcome this issue I Increased both the VccSA and VccIO voltages to 1.150v.

Corsair do offer an official LPX kit rated at 3600MHz with timings of 18-19-19-39 so having reached this far I thought it might be worth trying these timings to see what happens and it actually worked. My 3200MHz kit is now running at 3600MHz with 18-19-19-39 timings, 32GB (4x8GB).
